Life has been up and down lately and i’m getting tired.

Work, study and family are enough to give me a roller-coaster ride in life already. There will be times when i’m high up and there are also times when i going down at a really crazy pace.

Those who really knows me well would know i’m one who do not really open up to anyone easily. Even if i have any sorrows or feeling troubled, i would still keep to myself. Yes, i might be the one full of shit and lame jokes, but the real me is just not that. I wish i could experience and live life on a lighter and humorous side.

When i’m feeling down, i do not like to explain things. I would just let things be even when i knew it was others who mis-understood me in the first place. Are things really not worth explaining from my end?? I do not know, really don’t know at all. I just want to take a step back, draw the curtain and just live in the darkness.

I know that i’m not the worse lot out there, many people are. I will try to just brave up and buck along in life.

my dream is that no child should go to school hungry ~ Drew Barrymore

Do you know that $50 feeds a child in school for one year?
According to World Food Program, there is an average 4 million weekly increase in the number of people who go hungry all because of rising food prices.

I know times are bad now and most people are tightening their belts. $50 could be a family food expense in a month for some. But i know that my $50 donated could actually feed a child, and it is worth it ( i just need to buy less cd albums ).

Previously there is the Straits Times School Pocket Fund. I wanted to donate that time but they do not have the online payment method. I also do not have cheque, as such, i did not donate any in the end.

Everytime i see any news reporting on child going hungry, it affects me quite a bit. Why am i so troublesome with my food when there are so many people out there who do not even have a chance to eat a proper meal. Children should see the beauty of this world despite the fact that it has many ugly sides to it.

A song that comes to my mind and i just hope everyone in this world really would try to make this world a better place to live in, for everyone of us.

Heal the world, make it a better place..

Today is an apple day!!

I spent almost the whole day doing Apple related stuffs at home. The first task is to finally backup my MacBook with Time Machine for the first time. I partition the 500GB disk into 2, one partion is only readable on Mac, the other is FAT32, so that i could used it on Wins and Mac OS. The initial backup is really a long process but the wait is worth it!! Am sure those users who are into Time Machine in Mac OS should know how cool it is.

The other thing that i did was to finally update the iPhone OS to 3.0!! I was holding back on my horse since it’s launch few days back, as i was waiting for Pwnage. The update installion is a quick one, but jailbreaking it need some time to play around. I finally get it done and i got to get myself busy again. I was installing my custom theme and loading in ringtones and sms alert tone.

The new features in 3.o took the iPhone to another step further!! The cut, copy and paste is finally here and i easily got used to it after a while. I configured my iPhone to send MMS as well and it work well. Same goes to the forwarding of SMS!! oh man, i missed that feature ever since i switch to an iPhone. I did try to get the internet tethering to work, but was unsucessful. Seems like only the red umbrella users would have the easy way of using this feature. I would try this feature another time when more people in Singapore experiment on it.

I simply love to be able to copy text, images from websites and then just email out, or just sms. The spotlight feature is great!! It could even searched those emails in the server!! One more thing… i tried the Find My Phone feature in MobileMe. It could detect the area of where my iPhone is, which is my home. Of course it is not that pin-point detail to the exact spot that i’m in, it be scary if that’s the case. The other feature is able to send message to my iPhone from the website. This is quite cool in the event if you lost your phone, you could send a message to the phone, which just pop-ups on the screen. Of course if the user do not intend to return the phone to you, you could do a remote date swipe with just a click of your finger.

And i received news from Singtel, saying the iPhone 3G S is coming, you could register your interest by clicking here. There also dropped the price of the exisiting iPhone 3G!! Most people should be waiting for the new phone, right??

As of now, i’m still reading up news on iPhone 3.0

Steve Jobs went for a liver transplant about 2 months ago. Hope he have a good and fast recovery.

3 more days, i just got 3 more working days in my current company.

Just went you thought i should be more relaxed as compared to usual, then i think you are wrong. I was so busy the last few days, including tonight, it just makes me feel so tired and brain dead upon reaching home. I still got to rush through projects lately so as to reduce the workload of the person i’m handover to. I just do not really like to handover incomplete stuffs to others. I just got no choice this time round since the project cycle would stretch beyond July.

My brain is really quite dead now, eyes also closing. So if you ask me would i be sad leaving blue…. hmmm a simple answer which seem so tough to answer at this point of time. I guess the little sad part is that i’m not able to complete the existing  projects from development cycle, right up to the live instane.

Today is my office content team outing duing office hours. This is the first time i joined them and the last time as well. Definitely would missed this outing with you all in future moments to come.

We spent the whole afternoon and evening at Labrador Park. We played some card games and frisbee. They bought me a small chocolate cake to celebrate my advance birthday present. Thanks guys if anyone of you are reading this post of mine. Although the whole cake is melting, which results in the most awful cake that i ever eaten, still appreciate the effort and thought you guys put into it.

We also have fun taking all kinds of photos, right now i still sorting out and uploading batch by batch. Somehow the internet connection at my place now is quite slow and unstable.

Above is a photo of myself against the sunset. I compose this shot myself and make use of the timer of my camera. If you notice me, i was actually drinking a can of coke at the time this shot was taken. I had to roughly estimate the distance as well as position since i’m not able to see. My idea was to take a shot with the sunset of me drinking a can of coke. This just shows how life could be so simplicity beautiful.

Just a thought to those into photography, do you guys find it hard to compose a shot of yourself in a given situation?? I always wanted to take a shot of myself but sometimes is just so hard.

I’m been trying to tell myself that my birthday is still very far far away. But as look at the calender everyday, i just had no choice but to accept the fact that i’m turning 30 soon.

If you read my blog, you would know that i bought myself a PSP last year for my own birthday present. I been thinking what to buy for myself this year and a few items went through my head. And those items are really on the costly side hahaha…..

I still the same old me who live for the moment, without bothering much what would happen in the near future.

All these are just thinking and random ideas. Not feeling myself this weekend, i just shutting down from the rest of the world. Don’t bother asking me why, i just want to close my eyes, letting my mind drift into the faraway land…..

I decided to go for the PC show last minute, since i wanted to get a 2.5″ portable hard disk as well. It is really time i do some backup for all my files. And the main thing is to get the Microsoft Arc Mouse, which is selling at 75 bucks at the show itself.

The event this time is not as crowded as i expected it to be. Walking around the exhibition halls is quite smooth since the open area between all stores are quite wide. When i bought the mouse from the Microsoft Booth, i got a chance for the lucky dip. Guess what i won?? A 2 dollars McDonald voucher!! Oh well, better than nothing right??

The main point of this blog is to tell you guys how much i love the new mouse. Besides it being purple (that is one of the reason that attracts me in the first place), it is so smooth to use. Just plug the usb adapter and you can use it straight away. I like the design of the mouse and how everything is package together.

As you all know, Transformers 2 would open in Singapore on 24th June 2009.
But there is a movie marathon for this the day before, which is on the 23rd!! How cool is that?? To be able to catch it one day earlier than the rest!

I already booked the limited ticket for this marathon, that’s of course!! And joining me would be yew, who is coming back for about 10 days!! Good time to do some catching up over 2 movies, plus free flow of popcorn and drinks (coke!!).

Really looking forward to this movie, and the day i’m watching is also my last day in my current office.
What a way to end that.
